American Home and Stone, Inc. is a family-owned and operated business in Philomath, Oregon and is one of the first stone fabrication shops to be established in Oregon. Shane has worked at American Home and Stone since he was 12 years old alongside his dad and later became the owner in 2007.

We specialize in the fabrication and installation of custom countertops and have a diverse team of interior designers, stone fabricators, and carpenters to help you every step of the way. In addition to countertops, we also install cabinets, tile, and flooring to complete a kitchen or bathroom update. We handle everything from demo to installation. Our installation team has been working for us for almost a decade, and they are known for their excellent craftsmanship.

    Audrey Ward

    INTERIOR DESIGNER

    Audrey became passionate about design from growing up traveling and living all over the world. She fell in love with both design and geology making working with natural stones the perfect combination of the two. When she is not designing beautiful homes you can find her hiking, at local vineyards, and at the beach soaking up all the sun

    Brigit Paterson

    INTERIOR DESIGNER

    Brigit graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in Interior Design. After working for OSU as an interior design assistant for UHDS, she switched to residential to help homeowners design their dream spaces. She not working she enjoys traveling, and even spent a gap year in Paraguay. In her free time you can find her baking, dancing, and spending time outside.

    Nate Berkovatz

    LEAD CARPENDER

    Nate is one of Shane's cousins and has worked at American Home and Stone for the past few years. He loves the art behind the carpentry. If you have a unique tile job, he is the person you want to do it.

    LEAD FABRICATOR

    David first started working as a countertop fabricator in 2002 and has been working with us ever since. Fun act he is also Carlos and Jesus’s uncle! David spends most of his time with his 3 girls playing at the park or going on adventures.

    Carlos has been in the countertop fabricating industry for over 11 years and has been a part of our team for about 9 years. Outside of work you can find Carlos playing soccer for a few local teams in Salem.

    Jesus Sanchez

    FABRICATOR

    Jesus has been immersing himself in the world of fabricating, joining forces with David and Carlos to master the trade. When he's not honing his skills in the workshop, he is off with his four kids. With a background in culinary arts, Jesus owned a bakery in Mexico and trained as a chef. Nowadays, he finds joy in baking us friends and family.
